eSIM data for Nicosia

Nicosia (Lefkosia) is the last divided capital in Europe. Many visitors walk across the Ledra Street checkpoint into the northern part of the city, and that has consequences for your phone.

Near the Green Line

Close to the buffer zone, phones can sometimes pick up networks from the northern part of the island, which are not Republic of Cyprus operators. To stay on the Cyprus eSIM's networks, you can select Vodafone or Epic manually in your network settings.

Crossing to the north

Our Cyprus eSIM covers the Republic of Cyprus. It is not designed for use in the northern part of the island. See our coverage page for details before you cross.

Will the eSIM work after I cross Ledra Street?

Not reliably. The north uses different mobile networks, which aren't included in this plan.
